2PlaceTools Returns & Refund Policy

At 2PlaceTools, we aim to supply practical tools that arrive as described and ready for their intended use. This policy explains how returns, refunds, damaged products, and change-of-mind requests are handled.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Australian Consumer Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

If a product has a major failure, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement and may also be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

If a product has a minor problem, we may choose to repair the product, replace it, or provide another remedy as permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept eligible change-of-mind return requests made within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify, the product must:

  • Be unused and in resalable condition
  • Be returned with its original packaging, components, accessories, and manuals
  • Not have been modified, damaged, incorrectly assembled, or subjected to misuse
  • Include proof of purchase

Approved change-of-mind returns may require the customer to cover return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.

Please do not return a product before contacting us and receiving return instructions.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order after delivery.

If your product arrives damaged, defective, materially different from what you ordered, or an incorrect product has been supplied, contact us at 2placetools@gmail.com as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs or video where appropriate
  • Images of any shipping damage and packaging where relevant

We may request reasonable information to assess the issue before providing a remedy.

Where the product fails to meet a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide the remedy required by law.

Products Damaged Through Use

Returns or refunds generally will not be provided where a problem has been caused by:

  • Misuse or abuse
  • Using a tool outside its stated specifications or intended application
  • Incorrect installation, assembly, maintenance, or storage
  • Modification or unauthorised repair
  • Failure to follow supplied instructions or safety requirements
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage occurring after delivery

This does not affect any rights you may otherwise have under Australian Consumer Law.

Tool Compatibility

Customers are responsible for reviewing product specifications before purchase, including dimensions, capacities, compatible materials, operating requirements, and intended applications.

A product being unsuitable for a customer's particular project does not automatically mean the product is faulty.

If you are unsure whether a tool is appropriate for your intended application, please contact us before ordering.

Refund Processing

Once an approved return has been received and assessed, we will notify you of the outcome.

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be returned to the original payment method. Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.

Return Shipping

For approved change-of-mind returns, return shipping is generally the customer's responsibility.

Where goods fail to comply with Australian Consumer Law, reasonable return or transportation costs will be handled or reimbursed where required by law.

Do not dispose of, ship, or attempt to repair a faulty product unless instructed to do so.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact 2placetools@gmail.com as soon as possible.

We will attempt to accommodate cancellation requests, but we cannot guarantee cancellation once an order has entered processing or been dispatched.

Lost or Missing Deliveries

If tracking indicates an issue with your delivery or your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, contact us so the shipment can be investigated.

We may require confirmation of delivery details or other reasonable information before arranging an appropriate resolution.

Safety

Tools must be operated according to their supplied instructions and intended specifications.

Customers are responsible for using appropriate personal protective equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring that anyone operating a product has the necessary knowledge and competence to do so.
